To ensure quality during the CI/CD lifecycle, I designed a “blackbox” testing sandbox using Docker, Kubernetes, and Istio. The goal was to replicate real-world conditions—network issues, service crashes, high load—within a safe and disposable environment.
Each microservice is deployed into a temporary Kubernetes namespace. Logs and diagnostics are handled by a custom stack using Loki and Fluent Bit. The test suite is fully automated with Python and JMeter, and the sandbox reduced post-deployment bugs by 40% in the first quarter of use.
